This weekend! Red Bull Soapbox Race is a national event for amateur drivers racing homemade soapbox vehicles. Each handmade machine is fueled by creativity and competitive fun - not to mention the need for speed. This unique non-motorized event challenges both experienced racers and amateurs alike to design and build outrageous, human-powered soapbox dream machines and compete against the clock in a downhill race. On Saturday, August 29th, up to 50 teams will rev up their gravity powered engines in Eden Park at Mt. Adams.
Rev up your engines and get ready to cheer on Team Forecastle! Our crew of five may work together at the Forecastle Foundation, but you better believe they're not looking to rescue the competition at Red Bull Soapbox. Designing their derby racer after a navy warship with alloys, wood and (of course) recycled materials, we're looking to sail the forces of gravity to victory in Cincinnati!
