We're so excited to be working with Her Best Foot Forward to create a unique offering only available to supporters of The Forecastle Foundation! These women’s sandals are designed and handmade by a group of women in Tanzania and made with traditional Tanzanian beading technique. They're paid a living wage for their work and they also get a say in how charitable contributions are made.
Proceeds from the shoes benefit two non-profit organizations: Waterboys and the Forecastle Foundation. Waterboys was started by NFL player Chris Long and raises money and awareness for clean water projects in East Africa.
The sandals are $75 and come in sizes 6-9, you can purchase them at Revelry Boutique Gallery in Louisville and we'll also have them available to purchase at the Forecastle Festival this summer!
